With an 80% open structure, our fabric allows significantly more light transmission than the 65% industry standard. Its black color and precisely aligned mesh further enhance visual clarity and create a uniform appearance.
Transpatec® offers 2.4 times the air permeability of standard fiberglass fabrics. Its precisely engineered thread structure ensures consistent airflow across the entire surface, improving ventilation and effectively reducing turbulence.
Transpatec® is highly durable thanks to its patented weave. It resists UV, moisture, and temperature changes. While fiberglass screens can lose up to 80% of their strength over time, our fabric shows no signs of aging.
Our fabric comes with an anti-soiling coating that keeps the fabric clean for longer. Using a water-based, eco-friendly process, the coating repels airborne particles and allows rain and airflow to naturally remove dirt.
Our classic Transpatec® fabric features warp and weft threads (Ø 0.13 mm) stabilized by an ultra-fine binding thread (Ø 0.06 mm), forming the signature three-thread structure. It delivers excellent airflow, visual clarity, and robust mechanical strength for long-term use.
Based on the same structure, TFM uses a finer mesh to provide added protection where smaller insects—including gnats, blackflies, sandflies, and no-see-ums—are common. It maintains high air permeability and a nearly invisible appearance from both inside and out.
TFP combines the three-thread design with a triboelectric surface coating that helps reduce pollen accumulation. The water-based finish also supports natural cleaning through wind and rain, helping the mesh stay cleaner over time without compromising airflow or visibility.
At Ettlin, we design and manufacture high-quality technical fabrics that span the full spectrum, from traditional textiles to advanced material solutions for demanding industries and applications.
Our headquarters in Ettlingen, Germany, houses one of the most advanced textile production facilities in Europe. With state-of-the-art technology and decades of expertise, we ensure the highest levels of precision, consistency, and quality.
Sustainability is at the core of our operations. We generate our own power, recover heat from production, and recycle materials responsibly. Each of these measures helps us reduce our environmental footprint while delivering products that combine performance with responsibility.
